No longer visit the Bavarian State Library without this app!
No matter whether you’re a student, researcher or tourist: The Bavarian State Library as a cultural landmark and a world-class universal library is always worth a visit. However, the historical building, erected in the mid-19th century, with its famous gigantic flight of stairs is also a spacious structure with many floors and corners. From now on, with the app “BSB Navigator”, you have everything under control.
Modern beacon technology guides you comfortably and entirely without GPS to more than 80 points of interest. Be it the general reading room, the treasury room, the Munich Digitization Center or the cafeteria: “BSB Navigator” identifies your current location within the building and guides you to your destination on the shortest way. On your way, a special “discovery mode” additionally draws your attention to interesting and delightful cultural objects. Two guided tours, which you can activate inside the app, take you through the Bavarian State Library, either on a touristic walkabout or on a virtual introduction to the library.
The app is available in German and English and does not require an internet connection but please activate Bluetooth.
